I am Mamta Mishra, Parag Mishra's mother. I own the online business Parag Cosmetic (paragcosmetic.com). This is a venture to help Parag excel in his vocation of making unique Ayurvedic cosmetics in a nurturing, safe, and loving environment.

Parag was diagnosed with autism when he was 2 years and 7 months old. To tackle his autism, I went to Jacksonville State University to get my master’s in special education. I then started Parag’s homeschool program, which has been going on for 25 years. Initially, the homeschool addressed the three deficit areas: behaviors, socialization, and communication. Now, the focus of our homeschool has shifted to functional verbal communication and vocational training. Parag is a gifted and self-taught artist who shows us that being non-verbal is not a limitation in the world of art, for he communicates and expresses his thoughts and emotions with his mesmerizing paintings.

Parag Cosmetic is a project that aims to transform Parag’s vocational training into a viable business and incorporate more special needs individuals in their “Pursuit of Happiness” and financial independence. The goal is to make everyone “HOPELESSLY HOPEFUL” through Parag’s story and our journey!
